One of the four major resorts located on the Tropicana-Las Vegas Boulevard intersection, Excalibur which is located on the Las Vegas strip is the seventh largest Hotel in Vegas with 4000 rooms. Owned by MGM Resorts International, it is connected by a free tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. A pedestrian bridge overhead also connects Excalibur to New York New York and the Tropicana.
Excalibur is very recognizable from afar with its castle like architecture resembling one of the Disney palaces. An amalgamation of medieval architecture and ultra-modern amenities adds to the charm of Excalibur. Excalibur has much to offer in terms of casino, amenities, entertainment and experience reflecting the true spirit of Vegas.
Excalibur is a 3 star property located on Las Vegas Blvd. Opening its doors in 1990, it is now twenty-six years of age. With four thousand rooms it's regarded as one of Las Vegas' larger hotels
A 100,000 sq.ft.huge casino offers plenty of slot machines and table games. It has a poker room where the newbies can learn poker for free in a daily lesson. Apart from a sprawling casino, guests can also visit the relaxing spa which offers fitness center, steam bath, sauna and opportunity to pamper yourself with massages and beauty treatments.The spa overlooks the pool area which has four pools and a 30,000 sq. ft. of deck space.The rooms are contemporary and luxurious with 42-inchTV, free Wi-Fi, Large and clean bathrooms and a comfortable bed to relax after that crazy Vegas night. The standard rooms are affordable with rate depending upon the season and week of the day.
If you love food, you will love Excalibur which houses 8 restaurants and a food court. Located on the casino level is a unique and fun dining place-Dick’s Last Resort. It just doesn’t serve delicious food but it’s staff deliberately serves sarcasm and obnoxity on side which guests enjoy. Also on the Casino level are Johnny Rockets with amazing burgers and shakes and Buccadi Beppo offering authentic Italian cuisines.
Escalators and elevators take you to the upper levels where you will find the posh restaurants - The Steakhouse at Camelot and The Buffet. There is also a sprawling food court housing outlets like Cinnabon, Krispy Kreme, Pizza hut express, Starbucks, Auntie Anny’s Pretzels and others so that there is something for everyone.
Also worth visiting on the upper level is the Octane Lounge which is built on the Motorcycle theme. It is a great place to have drinks and hang out. It holds model DJ’s and specials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.It is located outside the theatre for 'Thunder fromDown Under' which is one of the permanent shows at Excalibur. This show featuring an all-male crew of hot men with chiseled bodies is exciting and made to make women go all weak in the knees. Another show is 'The AustralianBee Gees' which is a Saturday night show paying tribute to the Bee Gees.
The Excalibur Hotel and Casino is great for kids, but as an adult, sticky floors ain't my thing.
The third permanent, and most famous, show is 'Tournament of the Kings' in which the knights ride the horses and fight while the guests enjoy the banquet feast dinner served by costumed staff taking you back to era of King of Arthur. However, at the time of writing, the Tournament of Kings may be no more according to VitalVegas.com.
Excalibur also boasts of many splendid bars like 'The lounge' with a live band on Friday and Saturday, 'The Parlay Bar' with a big screen to show sporting events.
