Review of Linq Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip

LINQ Hotel and Casino ReviewWe recently visited Vegas for the 6th time and this time we stayed at the Linq hotel and casino. The location on the strip is one of the best, being right in the middle. Having previously stayed at places like Gold Coast and the Artisan (last trip), it was a nice change for the hotel to be so conveniently located.

The Linq hotel and casino is a 4 star property rooted on the Las Vegas strip, right in the center. Opened up in 2014, it's just a couple of years ago that the carpets were first walked on (if you don't count them being walked on in the Quad, or Imperial Palace! With approx. 2700 rooms, it's regarded as one of Las Vegas' bigger hotels and Linq's casino is rather big, too.

Having been to Vegas a few times now, we didn't do any research before our trip but had always fancied staying at the LINQ - even back in the days when it was Imperial Palace. We were not disappointed and we would definitely come for a return stay. The LINQ is a good Vegas experience, we think. Good casino, variety of restaurants and good for shopping. We were able to have a high energy night out or a quiet walk in the day due to its place on the strip - and the view of Vegas from the High Roller is nothing short of spectacular.

Review of LINQ Hotel and Casino, Las vegas

The only complaint I have about this hotel was at the check-in (I always have bad check-in experiences recently!). We had checked in via the app so when we arrived we used the kiosk, however, the express check-in wasn't staffed so we had to wait 30 minutes before we were finally checked in and ready to go to our room. We were not happy at this point. We were offered a food/beverage credit to compensate for the trouble. If they could work out their app/kiosk issues, it would be a much better check in experience and I think it's a shame to have something so small to give a bad first impression.

The room was clean, tidy and had the basic amenities that you would expect in a hotel in Las Vegas. My wife didn't like the fact that there was no dresser, but there is a built in shelving/closet that worked just fine. The bathroom was decent - the only thing I would say is that it was a little small. Both the rooms we saw were very upbeat and funky but personally I found that the wallpaper to be a little loud and garish; still it wouldn't stop me from staying again, though as I don't see it when I'm asleep! lol.

The Linq is a lot cleaner place than it's forbearer, Imperial Palace!

The LINQ had a great casino with good machines and the dealers at the tables were outgoing, friendly and professional. In fact the staff throughout the casino, bars, restaurants and hotel were very friendly and eager to help with anything that we needed. I wasn't expecting the best, for some reason, having gambled here and at the casinos either side of the Linq.

If you like the Linq, you would probably like Paris, Bally's, Luxor (maybe), Flamingo, Harrah's - and SLS.

Overall I was more than impressed with the LINQ hotel, compared to what I was expecting and would stay here over going off-strip, or Downtown. I think that it has become one of my favorites - a guilty pleasure, maybe?

With its lively atmosphere, good rooms, reasonable prices and excellent location and views, I will definitely return again and will be recommending it all my friends and family if they are to ever visit the crazy world of Vegas! Map of Linq Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.
