Home > Vdara Hotel Review - Las Vegas, NV
I recently went to Vegas for a Hen party. We booked at the Vdara based on a recommendation from a family friend who had visited before. I am always a little skeptical about going off a recommendation as people's wants and needs are different, however after our stay I would recommend this hotel myself.
I was little unsure about the location of the hotel as it was a little bit off the strip and you couldn't access the strip directly, Some people might not like the walk from here but after our stay we didn't mind. There was a walkway that took you to the Bellagio itself and from the same walkway you could get a tram which took you to Crystals/Aria and Monte Carlo. I would definitely recommend researching the hotel before going as it did take us a few days to find our way around.
The hotel entrance and lobby were very clean and smoke free which was brilliant as I can't stand the smell of smoke! Check in was nice and quick, there was just one person in front of us so we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and the staff were very pleasant. There were two sets of lifts one for floors up to 26 and a separate set for the upper floors, we never had to wait more than a minute for a lift to arrive.
We'd booked Studio Fountain View Suites so we were very excited to get into our rooms and see the view, we weren't disappointed. The rooms themselves were really luxurious and full of lots of little details to make it feel it. It had a mini kitchenette, a Media hub, a huge spa-style soaking tub in the bathroom and a fully-stocked Mini bar, automatic blackout shades, a Kind size bed and a master switch to turn all the lights off at the same time just to name a few. The only thing that we had an issue with was the safe not closing, however, this was dealt with straight away.
As we were very keen to experience as much of Vegas as possible we didn't spend much time in the hotel itself. It had good amenities, like a grocery store, coffee shop, spa, pool area and a few restaurants but we were still drawn onto the strip to eat rather than staying in the hotel. The hotel itself doesn't have a casino but I think this is one of the best thing about the Vdara. I felt like we were able to experience the fun in Vegas and let our hair down with the comfort of returning to a relaxing quiet environment, what more could you ask for?
Overall the Vdara has impressed me. It had everything and more of what we needed for the perfect getaway before the wedding. If I return to Vegas it would definitely be on my list and if anyone is after a centrally located hotel with the best of both worlds I would recommend the Vdara.
